All letterbox boxes, shipping boxes, gift boxes and envelopes from our assortment with dimensions and prices in one overview. This way, you can choose the right size for your order at a glance.
You have an order in front of you and you grab the box that happens to be on top. It just fits, or just doesn't. A week later, you do the same with a similar product and choose a different box. This is how almost everyone who ships themselves operates, and it costs you money: boxes that are too large require more filling, and boxes that are too small bulge and open up anyway.
This article is not an opinion piece, but a reference sheet. All the sizes we carry are listed below, sorted from flat and small to large, with the price included. Save it on your phone or print it out and hang it above your packing table.
Measure your product, not your previous box
Before you dive into the tables: take your product and measure its longest, widest, and highest sides. Add the thickness of your filling to that, on both sides. A product measuring 12 x 8 x 2 cm wrapped in bubble wrap will quickly become 14 x 10 x 3 cm in practice.
Also, note that the measurements below are product sizes as they appear on the packaging. For cardboard, the inner dimensions differ by a few millimeters from the outer dimensions. For most orders, this doesn't matter, but for a tightly fitting product, it does.
Flat and low: letterbox format
These are boxes that are so low they don't need to travel as a parcel. Always check the current dimension requirements with your own carrier, as these can change and differ per service.
The two recycled letterbox boxes are sold in bundles of one hundred. If you convert that, an A6 box costs about eighteen cents and an A5+ box twenty-four cents each. That's a very different price point than the individual colored boxes, and that's exactly what they're intended for: volume.
Small packages up to four centimeters high
As soon as your product is thicker than three centimeters, it falls out of the letterbox format and becomes a parcel. This size is the workhorse for jewelry in a box, small electronics, cosmetics, and loose accessories.
The three boxes measuring 15 x 10 x 4 cm are the same size in three colors. A convenient detail if you want to work with one size but change colors depending on the occasion.
If you need height: cubes and volume boxes
A mug, a glass, a bundle of products, or something with an awkward shape won't fit flat. Then you need height, and that immediately costs you volume in your carrier's tariff. So, choose the smallest box here where the product with filling can still fit loosely.
We have the most of the 15 x 15 x 15 cm cardboard shipping box, and that's no coincidence: it's the size that fits most individual gifts, mugs, and bundled items. The 50-liter moving box is the only really large size on this list and is intended for moving and storage, not for shipping.
Jewelry boxes: the box within the box
A small product sells better if it's in its own box, and that box also protects it from shifting. All three of these sizes fit comfortably in the letterbox boxes above.
For flat and light items, an envelope is almost always cheaper than a box. Use paper envelopes for documents and cards, and bubble envelopes for anything that might need a little cushioning.
The sizes of bubble envelopes are external dimensions. The adhesive strip part and the glued edge will be deducted, so expect approximately two centimeters less usable length than stated on the packaging.
What you need for every size
A size overview is only complete with the stuff that holds the box closed and the product in place. These three belong with all the formats above:
Three examples you'll probably recognize. A set of earrings in a jewelry box measuring 9 x 6.5 x 2.8 cm fits comfortably in an A6 letterbox box of 180 x 115 x 28 mm, with a strip of bubble wrap next to it to prevent shifting. A mug goes into the 15 x 15 x 15 cm cube box, wrapped in bubble wrap so that the handle doesn't touch anything. And a thin book or a set of cards goes into the A5+ letterbox box of 255 x 160 x 28 mm.
As soon as you notice that three or four sizes cover ninety percent of your orders, stop choosing per order. Order those sizes in bundles, give them a fixed place at your packing table, and keep the rest as an exception on hand.
